Prior to launching
Denny Miller Associates in 1984, Denny served on the personal staff of
the late Senator Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson (D-WA) for sixteen years, the
last six years as his chief of staff.
Denny assisted Senator Jackson in his positions as Chairman of the
Energy and Natural Resources Committee, ranking member of the Armed
Services Committee, and senior member of the Governmental Affairs and
Intelligence Committees. Initially, Denny served as a professional staff
member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, specializing in
energy policy and environmental, Indian, and youth employment issues.
Denny began his career as an officer in the U.S. Army at Fort Riley,
Kansas. He received a B.S. in natural resources management from Oregon
State University, an M.S. in water pollution biology from the University
of Washington and a Master's in Public Administration (M.P.A.) from the
University of Washington.
Denny serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Tennis &
Education Foundation, the Board of Directors for Long Live the Kings,
the Council of Advisors for the Cascade Land Conservancy, and the Board
of the National Leadership Council.
Denny resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Sandra.
